COMMUNITIES WE SERVE
COMMUNITIES WE SERVE
We serve in the communities of Ganta, Sanniquellie, Loguatuo, and Gowee-Tonzolomon.
PROGRAM HISTORY
ANIDA Liberia began in 2019. We began poultry and crop production to help curb poverty, joblessness and inequality among men and women. ANIDA’s Women Development Program works to address the gap in women’s participation and empowerment and agricultural development. We also serve the needs of local communities through our Hope for Tomorrow Child Sponsorship Program.
WHAT DOES THE FUTURE ENTAIL?
A component of the development plan is expanding poultry and crop production to provide more community members with a sustainable income and quality food. Additionally, we are developing our women’s programming initiatives to empower women in local communities further and enhance the quality of life for children and their families. ANIDA is also working closely with local and foreign doctors to organize medical fairs that promote treating and preventing diseases such as typhoid, malaria, and hypertension in the community.
IMPACT REPORT
Find out how community engagement, collaboration and leadership development have allowed us to make a big impact this year.
I live in Liberia with my mom and 7 siblings. My father left us 6 years ago because he was very ill, and has since died from his illness. My mom never had the opportunity to attend high school, so she really values education for me and my siblings.
